I spotted a HUGE rainbow over some mall yesterday evening. It was magic and I was happy! Inspired, I went in search for some colorful flickr residents.

{End of another day}

Albeit small (*i dunno why), but check out phil coffman's flickr masterpieces here!

*Inhale*

I am absolutely in love with Joanna's engagement shots. I even have it as the wallpaper of my phone. And this.. it's just brilliant! Talk about personalising.

{Ottomans}

The recent post on bigger ottomans in place of coffee tables has just struck a chord with me. I hate how heavy & hard the coffee table at my parents' is and when i move it away, the carpet underneath just goes out of place (OCD alert!). Perhaps an ottoman in the near future? More here!

How gorgeous is this living room? Nothing hard, very comfortable and gorgeous colors. I love how the furniture stand out with the neutral-colored walls.

Yeay I love Weekends!

we went to watch the much talked-about slumdog millionaire. this show presents the real india to movie goers who only know it through the eyes of bollywood, mother theresa, gandhi, booming computer segment, exploding education, spectacular costumes - i heard gasps in the theatre when the magnitude of the slums became apparent.

this movie brought me back to the time when i was in india as a 10-year old. the images of hundreds or rather thousands of street kids begging - some injured, some with crying babies in their arms are still fresh in my mind. the india i remember had impoverished street dwellers sleeping in the streets at night, men reliving themselves by the roadside and so, as i have seen it myself in person, the scene with the orphans/blinded orphan begging was heartbreaking. despite witnessing the dreadful poverty in the big screen, what made it all worthwhile was the heart-warming optimism of these wonderful little boys and girls making the most of the cards life has dealt them. and hope. for g, he reminded me again that only people who have nothing to their names know how to treasure the most precious gift that money can't buy - relationships.

after the movie, we were off to creperie des arts. a quaint little french restaurant in the heart of town, prinsep street. amazing service with healthy (made from buckwheat), sweet and savoury crepes.

i always leave room for dessert. my crêpe suzette - orange pulp zests with caramel and pear ice cream was flambéed with grand marnier. oh, and g's crêpe keroch - the salted caramel butter crepe was simply delightful as well. a perfect end to a saturday (:

7 more months.

a dozen pink balloons.

I have a slight obsession with balloons. Maybe because they are visually a delight to see and just remind me of happy occasions. As simple as that. I couldn't resist when I read about a proposal story (no, it's real, not a story!) that actually involved balloons and totally had to post about it here.

Lo & Behold! I LOVE eye-candy!
Thanks to classic bride, i decided to check out {Blue moon events}

jcrew goes to greece.

i love greece. there's something about turqoise waters and white washed structures with blue domes. jcrew's latest wedding collection fashion spread was shot in the greek isles, and of course, i couldn't resist and HAD to put 'em up here. i love the soothing yet vibrant, spring colors.

{valentine weekend}

g and i never celebrated the day to begin, so i decided to inject some humor into the whole thing.
... it started off with kate spade.
& spongebob cupcakes
also, a few things came up. so sat was done in the blink of an eye.

sunday began with some disaster in the kitchen.

chocolate pound cake topped with white chocolate & a little rasberry. it doesn't sound appetizing come to think of it. what was i thinking!?

& then i got ready for a baby shower.

for some reason, i caught myself smiling while poring through teeny weeny baby clothes before i got to this pair of nugget shoes. just too cute.

Everything is alright.

I am NOT kidding. I absolutely love being busy and this week has just been crazy. I am planning to be done with most of my to-dos by tomorrow so that the weekend can be fully dedicated to my 2 luvs. Blogging being one of them, I am dying to post what I have been up to the past few days. I also promised batman I'll cook for him on Sat. OMG. What am i doing!!!!!? So till the next update, I leave you with gorgeous-my-kind of photos by Hillary the Mammal via Flickr. Flickr is a treasure trove.

Humble Beginning.

I'm really honoured to have 3 blog followers *update* 4 and counting! and I'm proudly displaying them at the sidebar. I blog on the side and I do have a day job, but I love LOVE LOVEEEEEEEEEE clicking away, poring over tons of other blogs so that I can get inspired and feed my blog so much so that sometimes I do get distracted while I'm at work (I think I have attention-deficit disorder, it just went undiscovered when I was in school!). Anywayz, I observed that I do have regular readers, almost everyday but of course, I can't be sure if its the same people from a particular city/town that are coming back each time. If you could, pls let me know who you are so that I can put a face (if not, a name/website to a city/country) *lol*
- Chicago, Illonois
- Newark, New Jersey
- Singapore
- Plano, Texas
- Brooklyn, NY
Do let me know if there is anything you'd like to see and I'd love to know what you guys are up to.

On a side note, I'm actually dizzy after an overdose of eye-candy at Fleurs. This is from me to you. Hope you like flowers too!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Orchid Seduction.

"When we stopped to rest and Tony tried to figure out what was wrong with his compass, I asked him what he thought it was about orchids that seduced humans so completely that they were compelled to steal them and worship them and try to breed new and specific kinds of them and then be willing to wait for nearly a decade for one of them to flower. 'Oh, mystery, beauty, unknowability, I suppose, ' he said, shrugging. 'Besides, I think the real reason is that life has no meaning. I mean, no obvious meaning. You wake up, you go to work, you do stuff. I think everybody's always looking for something a little unusual that can preoccupy them and help pass the time."
