Why do all the florists and stylists i love are not from Sing? Geez, i wonder why.

Epicurious provides tutorials on making stunning *inhale* centrepieces with some edibles. I mean using artichokes & asparagus!? What an amazing idea to incorporate non-traditional elements.

Purple trends

Is this space more traditional or contemporary? I can't decide. It looks more contemporary and modern yet most of the elements used in this space are traditional with the wooden table, brick wall & the basket of cut logs next to the fireplace. Nice!

My Take on Board #309 by Snippet & Ink.

*Board Updated* I tried to incoporate my own elements into a very gorgeous inspiration board I posted yesterday.

some purple spaces.

Perfect. I'm hoping to get some ideas on what colors would go best with purple and in the process of sourcing for pix of spaces with a dash of purple - not too overwelming with much purple details. I am completely swooning over a purple bouquet that I'd love for my wedding. This picture suggests sticking to neutrals with a pops of purple for a more casual setting and board #309 suggests red+plum for a swanky event. Any suggestions? {Image via Simple Lovely}

Board #309 Pomegranate & Plum via Snippet & Ink

I love this gorgeous board that I found in Snippet & Ink. Now, I'm trying to incorporate my fav wedding elements into this board. Thanks to Wedding Bee who provided a tutorial on creating a mood/inspiration board using photoshop, I'm able to explore another programme doing what I love. Before this, I have been making attempts at inspiration boards using paintbrush and powerpoint, sometimes mosaic-maker from bighugelabs or polyvore but I hope in time to come I'll be just as comfortable with Photoshop as I am with the others.

iwannagohome!

I dropped in at iwannagohome (no kidding!) this afternoon with my mom, and got a funky clock for the kitchen. I'l try to snap a picture of it some-day. The following are some whimsical items i spotted and adore, on the shelves as well as the website. My fav are the chests (so parisien!)

Pass the Hookah!

I love anything moorish/spanish/moroccan, you know, along those lines. I bought a new CD album, Lust 2 and have been listening to Salma Ya Salama [it's supposed to be an egyptian arabic folk song re-mixed with both arabic and spanish by artist Dalida] all day long. Anyway, on the topic of clean, neat interiors that are a dream to clean (Yes, I've got OCD), I can't get my mind off this. {Link: Image via The City Sage}

Wishin' for a wish tree.

*hyperventilate* i stumbled on iDiY, that contains free downloads / tons of ideas for inexpensive wedding ideas. There are SO many blog entries that I am thrilled with that I didn't know what to pick to feature here. I decided to go for this wish tree, that takes the place of a traditional guest book. What an amazing idea!

Why I love it?

1. An unusual idea - All the weddings I've been to had guest books, how many had somethin' similar? None. Maybe it's just Singapore or maybe I have un-creative friends. Haha! Woops.

2. It makes a gorgeous reception entrance centrepiece.

3. No need to 'top-up' floral costs.

4. Xmas is coming so I can keep an eye on post-holiday clearances.
